The Associates of the National Maritime Museum Library has a new name, Friends of the San Francisco Maritime Museum Library. We are a non-profit California corporation formally cooperating with the National Park Service to advance the J. Porter Shaw Library at the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. The work of the Friends is done by volunteers, and dues and donations serve to advance the Library. The organization welcomes as members those who are interested in maritime books, manuscripts, photos, oral histories and maritime lore in general.
